Weekend Getaway: Disneyland California and Redondo Beach
5:06 PM
To make the most out of our long weekend and celebrate Independence day, we went to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It is also the pre-birthday celebration of my nephew, Jile.
69 miles away from home, approximately an hour drive without traffic, I plugged my earphones and waited patiently to arrive in the so-called happiest place on earth.
So, we've arrived...
My most favorite part is everything related to Star Wars - Star Tours & Hyperspace Mountain!
The tickets we have are good for three days, but we opted to only use it for the entire day. The remaining 2 days can still be used until the end of this year (2016). For Disneyland tickets, visit their website here.
It's not goodbye. See you again, Disneyland!
The following day, 4th of July, we drove to Redondo Beach. Americans have this tradition of going to beaches to bond with family or friends and to watch the fireworks at night. Expect a lot of people at this day of the year though.
Unfortunately, I haven't taken a picture of the restaurant we tried. Just imagine me eating about a pound of shrimp with a taste of garlic and butter at a place facing the beautiful Redondo beach.
Hopefully, next year, we can go again to somewhere new and enjoy the holiday together.
